Assateague Island Surf shop is located on Rt. 611 heading down to Assateague Island State and National Parks. The surf shop is loaded with surf brands such as Billabong and Oneill and also carries their own private labeled clothing including board shorts, shirts and more. You will also find a nice selection of jewelry, soy candles, scented soaps and beach essentials.
More than a surf shop, Assateague Island Surf Shop is also the home of Born to Move Coffee and Smoothie Bar, featuring coffee by surf legend, Laird Hamilton.
Believe it or not, the shop even has bike rentals and future plans include SUP board rentals and surf lessons!

Great shop. Something for everyone here. Nice little coffee/breakfast area too. Coffee was great, food was ok…very friendly service.

I’m so glad we made the wrong turn and stopped into this place! Talk about a hidden gem! Walked in on the 4th of the July and all of the staff was dressed up with high vibes and great energy! They were so friendly and happy to serve us Iced lattes and Açaí bowls. The place was running like a well oiled machine! The owner was very personable and kind as well. We will be back! 🙌

Little gem of a shop / cafe with sandwiches, coffee, smoothies etc. and good quality beach clothing, skateboards, surfboards. Amazing little homely place.
